Foxmula brings to you an evolving solution for unemployment and lack of skills – Helps Freshers Score High as per Industry standard professionals!
- 22 Nov, 2019
There’s a not-so-thin line between owning a degree and being employment ready. That is exactly what a NitiAayog report emphasized on last December, marking a huge 53 percent of fresh grads as unemployable!
Ayush Bansal, 22, and Shubham Sharda, 23, IT students from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology did their bit to tackle this alarming issue after completion of 3rd year. As a result, Bengaluru based Foxmula, an edtech startup, was born to upskill freshers with industry-oriented skills, exposure via industrial internships, and global certifications.
Vision Turned Mission
The Foxmula team takes immense pride in reaching out to 3,000 active monthly users along with 10000 customers within a very small span of time, in spite of lacking a marketing head.
Focusing on the burning issue of our country, unemployability, Shubham Sharda, Co-founder of Foxmula, points at the loopholes of the existing education system saying how miserably it fails to invoke a sense of belonging in students. He explains how they start feeling out of the place and eventually carry this forward to the work place, bringing their potential down by several notches.
Inversion Consultancy was their first startup, a platform providing micro, small, and medium enterprises with their IT, PR, and HR needs. That is when the fact stirred them as they had to work with several freelancers.
In 2018, Shubham and Ayush came up with the idea of Foxmula, through which they aim to provide industry specific courses, namely- TensorFlow-based deep learning, cyber security, and game development, data science, advanced web development, Python-based machine learning, cloud, and analytics using R programming language. The course fees are set from 4000 to 10000 depending upon the course material covered.
The Foxmula Funda
Foxmula has in store courses aligned with industrial demands without forcing a standard pace on the freshers. There is a one month training period followed by self-paced internship modules, which are kept valid for 45 days. After submission of project, candidates obtain certifications from eminent Tech giants – Microsoft, SAP, AWS, IBM, and MSMEs to name a few.
The trainers are globally certified professionals having experience from renowned tech corporations including Microsoft, Tetra Pack, Plant Genome Science Ltd., and Peerlyst.
While it may be true that the bootstrapped company has seen a massive up in terms of revenue, the obstacles that it faced initially were major, too. The major challenge was them providing service solely over digital medium. To strengthen their offline presence, they decided to connect to users beyond online, by launching FACEs (Foxmula Authorized Centre of Excellence) spread across different locations in the country. Currently, the centers are located in Jaipur, Mohali, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Gurugram, Kota, Ranchi, Patna, Lucknow, Noida, Udaipur, Indore, Bhopal, and Ahmedabad.
Customizing As Per User Requirement
For Foxmula’s founders it wasn’t much of a task to understand the requirements from the other side. That is exactly what they made use of to design the course pattern. He praises the active steps taken by governments and organizations to broaden the reach of internet to the most remote areas of the country, and believes that is the most befitting way to incorporate e-learning.
What Does The Future Have In Store?
While competing with big players like UpGrad, BYJU’s, and Unacademy, the founders of Foxmula are sure of finding a niche for themselves.
Also, raising funds this year they look forward to open Foxmula student chapters across a number of educational institutes. Launching app-based software suites for colleges and increasing number of offline centers are on the cards, too.
The hot news hides in the high probability of Foxmula unfurling its wings beyond the country, in Europe and the Middle East as the founders’ plan!
