Social media is the biggest and most popular platform now used for communications, marketing, promotion etc. Thus, you can use social media to launch any event or product because it will drive more audience. Examples of events are a new product launch, business party, wedding party, birthday party, business meeting or party among many others.

DON’T MESS UP AND USE ONLY ONE OR TWO SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS
Don’t use multiple social media channels to launch or promote because that will create confusion in the minds of individuals of the target audience. If you use Facebook, then don’t use other social media channels. You can only use Twitter in that case to make one or two tweets about the event.
You should choose such a social media channel which provides effective paid and unpaid promotional features by which you can promote your event effectively so that more people can be reached.
UNDERSTAND THE AUDIENCE
Follow each and every conversation between various potential buyers of your industry and try to understand their demands and likes. You must observe what types of contents, images and cultural programmes your target audience prefers. In one sentence, you should observe and research your audience so that you can arrange an event which will be liked by them.
CREATE AN EFFECTIVE LAUNCH SCHEDULE
Connect with various branches of different geographical locations and get an idea that what schedule you must select to launch your event so that maximum people can reach it. Observe the conversations between different individuals and follow the patterns of schedules of other events of your city and state; these will give you an idea about what schedule you should make to arrange your event. For example, in your city if a company of your industry has arranged their last 3 events at 6 PM, 7 PM and 8 PM on a particular Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and if you see those events have attracted huge audience, then you should arrange your event at any time between 6 PM to 8 PM on any day between Tuesday to Friday.
CREATE ATTRACTIVE THEMES, WALLPAPERS, BANNERS, CONTENTS and SHARE THEM EFFECTIVELY
Take the help of your designers or hire designers to design attractive themes, logos, wallpapers, banners etc. Take initiative to share them in various social media channels. You can create posters too. You can print posters and banners and can use them to campaign offline. Print leaflets and distribute them among your target audience.
Create eye-catching and high-quality contents and share them in various social media channels. Respond properly to all interested people who have made queries and convince them to attend your event.
Launching event and convincing people to attend your event is not only a process of marketing, it is also a process to improve the brand image of your company and yourself. So, driving more audience is the most important goal.
